Derek's 18th Birthday Party

with added jumping castle

If you want to contribute to the music that will be played at my birthday party go here and check out the playlist. If a song you want played isn't on there then e-mail me the song(s) or add a comment to this post and sign it with your name (anonymous comments may be discarded).

Furthermore, let me know if you are able to be a member of Derek's Designated Driver Service (DDDS) on the afternoon/night of the party (20th November; 2pm-11:30pm). Look at the DDDS webpage to see how my service works. You're intitled to charge as much as you like to drive birthday invites to and from the venue. Although there are recommended prices on the webpage.

Emma B. is the first person to join the DDDS Crew on the afternoon/night of the birthday celebrations.
If you need transport to the venue contact Derek and/or Emma B.

This party is for strictly invites and their guests (which Derek has approved) only! Any trouble causers will be sent home at their own expense. It's a birthday party which means it's fun.

Remember that all information about the birthday is avaliable at this site: groups.msn.com/dksbirthdayforum.

DJ Steen on Radio Nthn Beaches

I got home from the city at about midnight on Friday night (or Saturday morning to be technical). Went to bed at about 0100hrs.

I awoke on Saturday morning around 0815hrs and then was driven to Belrose at 10mins to 0900hrs. It was the day I was getting some radio trainning at Radio Northern Beaches.

There was a group 8 people including me; 3 women aged 45+, 1 man aged 40+ with a daughter in grade 8, A father of 1 aged 24, A young woman aged 20, and moi.. aged 7.

We had soo much fun learning about the radio industry and then putting it to use in the temporary studios they have. They're getting brand new studios built which will be attached to the Belrose RSL. We got to play with the equipment in a studio that wasn't being used. We finished by going on air and interviewing one and other. Boy is it fun! I'm going to become a member of Radio Nthn Beaches and get a one hour time slot to do all my crazy stuff!

If I'm allowed I'll let my friends come in and I'll chat with them for the hour (at this station there are only hour programs, fine by me) I'm on air.

It's going to be sooo fun! -- I'm going to try and make a funny program like The Paul Murray Show on Nova969.

I'll let you know when I'm on air blogwatchers!

Radio Northern Beaches can be heard on frequencies 88.7FM and 90.3FM along the Northern Beaches of Sydney (although I can't pick it up in Davidson).

Warning! Xbox GEEKS about!

Man I didn't think they got this geeeeky in my region.. but boy do they get geeky here!

This morning I got home at the horrific hour of about 2am! I came on MSN (when am I not on MSN) and to my SHOCK and amazement Chris Lamb was online!! He's hardly ever online and when he is he normally doesn't say goodbye :(

Anywho, he detailed to me that he was playing Halo 2 and had a 52" Plasma set up next to his computer screen had had 3 subs and 15 speakers setup in his room. So I gathered he'd stolen or won the Xbox Halo 2 Holden SS Ute and put it in his room. He was just making stuff up though. Pretty funny.

Another suprising point it that Sheridan and his brother finished the game (on normal difficulty, or something) 2 days after it was released!!!! What are the Microsoft people doing? A game shouldn't be that easy on "easy"!!
And what on earth is Chris doing!?! Chris is the biggest Xbox (Chris likes to call it his "Sexbox" because he loves it) geek I know (maybe with the execption of Andrew Gaussen) and last night he said he was only on the last level!

This post is making me fall asleep, or maybe that's because I need more sleep..

I haven't dusted off my Xbox in a few months.
